A rigged poker table does not become fair just because two card sharks agree to split the deck. Ohio’s election administration system is not just partisan because partisan people work in it. It is partisan because partisanship is built into its design, and everyone outside the favored structure is expected to call that fairness with a straight face.

⚠️ A warning light is flashing on America's fiscal dashboard.

For decades, economic growth has helped offset the burden of government debt. But projections now suggest that interest costs on the national debt could soon grow faster than the economy itself.

That's not a partisan issue—it's a math problem.

Bill Redpath believes America needs leaders willing to confront long-term fiscal challenges before they become long-term fiscal disasters.

All govt spending is thievery.

One of the most effective political tricks is getting people to focus exclusively on what a program does while avoiding any discussion of how it gets funded.

A government program can be efficient or inefficient. It can help people or hurt people. Those are important conversations to have. But before any of that, there's a more fundamental question: where does the money come from?

Too often, debates start at the spending stage rather than the collection stage. We argue endlessly about who should receive the money, while barely discussing whether people should have been forced to surrender it in the first place.

You don't have to oppose helping people to question the means by which help is provided. In fact, some of the most important political discussions begin with a simple principle:

Good intentions don't automatically justify coercion.

If an idea is truly beneficial, it should be able to withstand scrutiny not only of its goals, but also of the methods used to achieve them.
