June brings summer’s sweetest chapter: strawberry season! 🍓Strawberries are the WIC-approved food of the month!
Strawberries are filled with antioxidants and vitamins, including vitamin C, which helps support your immune system! Have you thought about food safety during pregnancy?
Keeping you and your baby healthy starts with what’s on your plate. Try these simple tips:
- Cook seafood, meat, poultry, and eggs to safe internal temperatures.
- Avoid unpasteurized (raw) juice or milk, raw sprouts, and soft cheeses made from unpasteurized milk.
- Reheat deli meats and hot dogs until steaming hot (165°F).
