The Ohio Statehouse has housed state government since 1857. This magnificent Greek Revival structure was started in 1839 and completed in 1861.

Have you RSVP'd yet? Statehouse Fossil Fest is Thursday, June 25 at the Ohio Statehouse. People of all ages are invited to join in on fun activities starting at 10 a.m. in the Statehouse Atrium. At 2 p.m. there will be a free tour showcasing the fossils in the building stones of the Statehouse. Thanks to ODNR, Division of Geological Survey and OSU Orton Geological Museum and many more. Fossil enthusiasts - the countdown is on for Statehouse Fossil Fest happening on Thursday, June 25! This a day to celebrate fossils with family-friendly programming throughout the day. A fossil tour is also scheduled for 2 p.m. The event, held in partnership with ODNR Division of Geological Survey is free for all to attend!
