Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the most important ways to protect infants đź’™

Always place babies on their back to sleep, use a firm and flat sleep surface, and keep cribs free of pillows, blankets, and toys. Room sharing (without bed sharing) is also recommended.

Small steps make a big difference in keeping babies safe during sleep.

WE NEED YOU đź’›

Children and teens in Ohio need safe, stable, and caring homes and you can make a difference.

Foster caregivers provide more than a place to stay. They offer support, consistency, and encouragement during an important time in a child’s life.

You do not have to be perfect to help. You just have to care.

Early support matters.

Ohio Early Intervention is a statewide program that works with families of infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) who may have developmental delays or disabilities. Services are provided in everyday environments and focus on helping children build skills through family-centered support.

If something doesn’t feel quite right with your child’s development, you are not alone and you can take the next step.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate the fathers and father figures who make a lasting impact in children’s lives.

Through everyday moments, guidance, and support, fathers help shape confidence, stability, and a strong sense of belonging.

We also recognize all father figures including biological fathers, adoptive fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, mentors, and anyone who shows up with care and commitment.

Strong father involvement helps build stronger families and brighter futures.

Happy Father’s Day!

Juneteenth is a time to reflect, learn, and recognize an important moment in history.

Today we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. It is also a reminder of the importance of building communities rooted in respect, understanding, and opportunity for all.

WE NEED YOU TO FOSTER.

Right now, Ohio is part of A Home for Every Child—a national effort to ensure every child has a safe, stable place to grow up.

This work strengthens prevention, kinship care, and foster home recruitment and retention, while also supporting efforts to safely reduce the number of children entering foster care.

But the mission is simple: every child deserves a safe place to call home.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time to step forward.
