Yes! It is so important to protect your eyes always...especially in sports! Did you know that this is how famed opera star Andrea Bocelli lost his gift of sight? Although having struggled with glaucoma as a young child, he completely lost his vision playing goalie during a soccer match at the age of 12. Protect your eyes!!
The World Cup is a great reminder that eye safety is an important part of every game! ⚽️
Sports-related eye injuries can happen at any age and skill level, but many can be prevented with the right protective eyewear. Make eye protection the goal!

ALERT FOR ACTION!
On June 9th, nearly 100 advocates from across the country are coming to Washington for Eyes on Capitol Hill, Prevent Blindness's biennial advocacy day. They'll be sharing their stories and asking Congress to make vision and eye health a national priority.
You can amplify their voices from wherever you are. It takes less than a minute to send a message to your Representative asking them to support three priorities.
