ADAMH is making a difference in our community. ADAMH-funded services are provided by non-profit organizations located throughout Franklin County.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of our community by reducing the incidence of mental health problems and eliminating the abuse of alcohol and other drugs in Franklin County. Thanks to the generosity of Franklin County tax payers, ADAMH is able to contribute more than $67 million for treatment and prevention services.

Through a community mini-grant from ADAMH, WovenCare Advocacy Services has launched its Breaking the Silence virtual community series focused on mental health awareness and stigma reduction.

The series is designed to encourage open, respectful conversations around mental health while helping strengthen understanding and connection within the community.

The second free session takes place at 6:30 p.m. on June 19 and will focus on reducing mental health stigma. Attending the first session is not required to attend the second. ADAMH was honored to welcome Densil Porteous, Executive Director of Stonewall Columbus, to speak with staff during Pride Month.

Densil shared insights on Stonewall Columbus’ history, the programs and resources it provides today and the importance of intersectionality. His perspective offered a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the power of inclusion and advocacy.

Thank you to Densil for spending time with ADAMH and helping deepen our understanding of the experiences, histories and contributions that continue to shape our community.

ADAMH CEO Erika Clark Jones was honored to speak at Alvis, Inc.’s Amethyst graduation ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of women completing their recovery journeys through the program.

Erika highlighted the importance of partnerships with providers like Alvis in expanding access to care for individuals and families. She spoke about the family-centered approach of the Amethyst program, which supports women through recovery with services including housing, treatment, job readiness and family support.

Congratulations to the Amethyst graduates on this incredible milestone and the next chapter ahead.

Families In Nature “Healthy Fathers, Healthy Families” Guided Hike Registration 06/10/2026

With support from an ADAMH community mini-grant, Kids In Nature - Ohio is hosting a guided family hike designed specifically for fathers and their children.

Through outdoor exploration and guided activities, participants will learn how time in nature can support emotional well-being, reduce stress and promote healthy emotional regulation.

ADAMH was honored to support two community events that promote connection, inclusion and well-being.

Staff participated in the annual NAMIWalks event hosted by NAMI Franklin County and attended Stonewall Columbus’ Pride Brunch. ADAMH is grateful to once again sponsor and help support these events and the organizations behind them.

The Franklin County Su***de Prevention Coalition is hosting two virtual Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) trainings geared toward parents, one in English on June 9 and one in Spanish on June 30. QPR is an evidence-based su***de prevention training that teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs and respond to someone experiencing a suicidal crisis.

ADAMH staff recently attended the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities (OACBHA) Foundation’s annual mental health and addiction conference.

ADAMH CEO Erika Clark Jones was recently recognized as a member of Who's Who In Black Columbus’ inaugural Women of Excellence class, which honors Black women whose leadership, vision and service transform and elevate central Ohio.

ADAMH congratulates Erika on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates the leadership and dedication she continues to bring to both the organization and the community.

As comes to a close, ADAMH is grateful to stand alongside provider partners in recognizing the importance of mental health and well-being. Throughout the month, agencies showed their support by wearing green and helping raise awareness around mental health.
