Across sessions, we’ll explore su***de prevention across the lifespan, including youth risk identification and early intervention, school and community-based prevention strategies, workplace and industry-specific approaches, and the evolving role of digital crisis intervention and ethical AI. We’ll also elevate the importance of advocacy, systems change, postvention, and the healing power of lived experience, alongside holistic and culturally responsive approaches to mental health and well-being.

One week ago, we gathered for the annual Life Is Better With You Here Su***de Prevention Summit centered on staying alive together.
To everyone who joined us, thank you. From our speakers and vendors to every attendee who showed up ready to listen, share, and learn, you helped create a space rooted in connection and care.
The conversations we had and the community we built are what move this work forward. We’re walking away with new ideas, renewed energy, and a shared commitment to carry this momentum into our communities across Ohio.
We’re grateful to be doing this work alongside you.

During ’sMentalHealthMonth, we want the men in our lives to know that loneliness is more common than it often appears, and connection plays a powerful role in overall well-being.
We’re grateful to our partners at Man Therapy Ohio for continuing to offer practical, down-to-earth strategies that make reaching out feel more doable.
Loneliness isn’t just an emotional experience; it can also impact your health. But connection doesn’t have to be complicated. Shared activities like signing up for a class, reaching out to an old friend, or even asking someone for help with a small task can create meaningful moments of connection. Small steps really do add up.

Sharing your story after a loss is deeply personal, and there is no right timeline.
Before you begin, take time to consider your readiness, your boundaries, and your support system. Storytelling can be healing, but it can also bring up strong emotions.
You don’t have to share everything, and you don’t have to share at all!🔊
If you do choose to share, focus on what feels safe, include space for hope and connection, and remember to care for yourself before and after.

During ’sMentalHealthMonth, we want the men in our lives to know that depression can affect anyone, and support, connection, and small steps forward matter.
We’re grateful to our partners at Man Therapy Ohio for sharing practical strategies that make mental health support feel approachable and achievable.
Depression can feel like carrying an invisible weight that drains your energy and motivation. When even simple tasks feel overwhelming, starting small can help. Washing a dish, folding laundry, taking a short walk, or completing one small task can create a sense of momentum and purpose one step at a time.

Can technology help expand access to su***de-specific care during moments of highest risk?
In the latest episode of Voices for Su***de Prevention, Dr. Seth Feuerstein of the Yale School of Medicine discusses OTX202, a clinician-supported su***de-prevention app developed in collaboration with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
The app is designed to provide targeted therapy skills during high-risk periods, such as after hospitalization, helping address gaps in access to evidence-based care when it’s needed most. The conversation also explores how stigma influences the way suicidal crises are understood and discussed.
