It’s Public Service Recognition Week here in the State of Ohio—a perfect opportunity to celebrate the dedicated team behind the Ohio Public Works Commission. 🌟

💡 Fun fact: OPWC operates with just 8 full-time staff to administer more than $400 million in annual funding for conservation and infrastructure projects. Our small but mighty team is committed to efficiency, accountability, and making a real impact in communities across the state.

We’re kicking off the week by highlighting Jeffrey Brown, our Clean Ohio Analyst. Jeff works in the field, traveling throughout Ohio to visit Clean Ohio properties and ensure they meet program requirements. His role offers a unique, firsthand look at conservation in action—giving him the chance to experience some of the most remarkable natural spaces our state has to offer while supporting the communities that protect them.

Ohio is moving forward confidently. The State Capital Improvement Program now invests up to $250 million annually in roads, bridges, water, and wastewater infrastructure, supported by voter approval of State Issue 2 in May 2025. Over 5,600 projects have been launched since 2017.
