Thank you to Dr. Jessica Grant, Executive Director of Healthy Cabarrus, for presenting the new Cabarrus County Needs Assessment to our club last night. This presentation was very timely as we are in the beginning stages of our new strategic planning process and we look forward to discovering ways to do our part to help where it’s needed most here in our community!

We surprised him with this recognition during last night’s meeting, and even had one of his good friends, and a fellow Paul Harris Fellow, from High Point come down to help us celebrate the occasion! Congratulations and thank you for always putting ! 💙💛👏

As Rotarians, we are focused on Service Projects. And our Club focuses most of our service on serving youth. From the recently completed District Grant at the new Afton Ridge Library, to our holiday meal bags for Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, to our big summer SchoolTools project supporting Cabarrus County Schools. Join us as a Club member or donate to our project!

✏️🖍️📓It is time for sponsored by the Concord - Afton Sunset Rotary Club once again! Although we are no longer working under the Channel 9 banner (they mostly dropped support a few years ago), we are still going strong and planning our 9TH YEAR of our school supply collection. 🌟🌟🌟

Last year, we started to "reinvent" our supply distribution once again by providing packed backpacks for McKinney-Vento (homeless/displaced youth) at all grade levels. Every child should have new school supplies. 🥰

This year, we will continue our regular distribution to each school in Cabarrus County Schools, to School Nurses, McKinney-Vento students, and are adding a bag for School Counselors.

How can you help??
👉We are looking for businesses and churches to host a collection barrel or box from around July 10th-August 2nd.
👉We welcome Sunday School classes, scout troops, Book Clubs, HOAs, and other organizations to hold school supply drives.
👉We accept cash donations in the following ways. Then we shop in bulk and at the school supply sales once those start.

We're at the Men's Wear Door at Belk at Carolina Mall until 4 PM today (Sunday)! Thanks to all who have already bought tickets to benefit our Rotary service projects! 🤩

👉Our Rotarians are selling the Belk Charity Day tickets at the Carolina Mall Men's Wear entrance (on the hospital side) today through Sunday! Come see us Friday 1-4, Saturday, 10-4, or Sunday 1-4. Other charities will be selling tickets at other times. 🤩This is an important fundraiser to support our service projects for Cabarrus County Schools, Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, and other organizations.
