Grateful to have been a part of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day event at the Concord Active Living Center last week, sponsored by the Cabarrus County Council on Aging. 💜

Elder abuse can take many forms, not just physical abuse, but also neglect, emotional abuse and financial exploitation.

If you see something, say something! Together, we can help protect some of our community’s most vulnerable residents and raise awareness about this important issue.

🥁 Drum Circle 🥁

Get ready to feel the beat with Afton Ridge Active Living Center’s Drum Circle on June 15th from 4:00pm–5:00pm!

Bring your own percussion instrument if you have one and join the group rhythm. Don’t have an instrument? No problem! You’re welcome to borrow one of ours, dance along, or simply hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.

This event will take place outside on our patio, and chairs will be provided. Feel free to bring your own food or drinks, and please check in at the front desk when you arrive.

What is Senior Games?

Senior Games is where competition, creativity, and community come together for adults ages 50 and better!

Each spring, participants from across Cabarrus County compete in a variety of athletic and arts events, with winners having the opportunity to advance to the state finals. Cabarrus County Active Living & Parks is proud to cheer on and support hundreds of competitors each year.
