FBI Dallas Warns Drone Operators of Temporary Flight Restrictions During FIFA World Cup 2026

Today, the FBI remembers Special Agent Paul Cavanagh.

On June 18, 1990, Special Agent Paul F. Cavanagh traveled on a private plane from Beverly, Massachusetts, to Greenville, Maine, to attend a SWAT training exercise as part of his official duties. The plane crashed just after midnight on June 19, killing Cavanagh and the pilot, Massachusetts State Trooper Joseph Moynihan.

Cavanagh was born March 8, 1947, in Somerville, Massachusetts. He joined the FBI in June 1971.

Today, SAC Rothrock spoke at a joint press conference with Tyler Police Department to announce a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the shooting of a five-year old child on May 29, 2026. SAC Rothrock asked the public to come forward if they have any information to aid law enforcement in this investigation.

On June 10, 2026, Pedro Marcos Hinojosa was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child po*******hy.

The FBI's Lubbock Resident Agency, the Texas Rangers, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Brownfield Police Department conducted the investigation.
