In spite of their greater risk for su***de, men are less likely to receive care for mental health challenges. In 2022, just 41.6% of males living with mental illness received treatment, compared with 56.9% for females.

TEXAS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER OPENS IN DALLAS

UT Southwestern and Texas HHSC held the ribbon-cutting for the state’s first behavioral health hospital in the DFW metroplex.

The 300-bed facility (200 adult, 92 pediatric) will begin admissions this summer to serve patients with serious mental health conditions closer to home.
