Last week, IRC Dallas hosted Shawn Van Driver, President of , an organization dedicated to supporting the relocation of Afghan Special Immigrant Visa holders (SIVs)--allies who supported U.S. interests--to the United States. We had a great conversation about resettlement in the Dallas community and Shawn got to hear directly from the clients we serve through our town hall.

Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $30 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation's largest charitably-funded bar foundation.

Isra began assisting the PIR (Program of Initial Resettlement) team during a transition period and we were without a housing specialist - she immediately stepped in to help fill that critical gap. Since then, she has become an immensely valuable teammate. Isra is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed, we are incredibly grateful for her support!

Jessica was an amazing help during our VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. She attended IRC orientations, got IRS certified and came to the tax center every week!
