Today, we honor Juneteenth by celebrating freedom, resilience, strength, and joy.

Dallas 24 Hour Club Alum JC Anderson returns to The 24 for his 7th year to serve a special lunch made with love, purpose, and tradition. Together with The Hubcap Café, JC is blessing our community with ribs, brisket, cabbage, mac ’n’ cheese, collard greens, red velvet cake, and red punch.

Each dish carries meaning, and today’s meal is more than food—it is a celebration of freedom, service, community, and the traditions that continue to bring us together.

We are grateful to JC for continuing to give back to The 24 and helping us honor Juneteenth in such a meaningful way.

This Friday at 1 PM, Dallas 24 Hour Club Alum JC Anderson returns to The 24 with a home-cooked feast in honor of Juneteenth. JC, along with The Hubcap Café, will bless us with ribs, brisket, cabbage, mac ’n’ cheese, collard greens, red velvet cake, and red punch—foods rich with tradition and meaning. The red desserts and drinks symbolize the blood shed during enslavement, as well as the resilience, strength, and joy of those who finally learned of their freedom on June 19, 1865, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

For JC, Juneteenth is more than history—it’s deeply personal.

“Juneteenth is a way for me to give back. Its meaning is freedom from slavery, but for me, it’s also freedom from alcoholism. They started the Juneteenth tradition back in 1865, and the Juneteenth Lunch is something I can do now to do my part. Mr. Tillman (founder of The 24) opened up the doors, and I want to do my part to continue his tradition while bringing awareness to Juneteenth.”

JC encourages everyone to unite through service, give back to others, and celebrate freedom in all its forms.
