"now that Sam Gibbon's campaign is over, I must explain a conflict of interest that I had during the primary. Mr. Gibbons ran for House of Representatives in South Carolina District 2 in the Republican Primary. I immediately had Mr. Gibbons expelled from all Reform Party committee placements and forbid the Reform Party from helping him in any way.
My conflict of interest is that my brother Matthew Hensley is the editor of several major newspapers in that area. I could make NO introductions. I COULD NOT tell either my brother or Mr. Gibbons about each other.
If at any time I connected these two individuals, it would have been seen as interfering with the Republican Primary as the Chairman of the Reform Party. Not only does that invite other parties to interfere with us, but it is against the bylaws of the Reform Party and could have invited retaliatory action against us. Airing on the side of caution, I made the decision to assist Sam with only a 20 dollar donation to his campaign.
I hope people understand why this decision was made. The Reform Party does not meddle in other party's internal operations. In South Carolina, the parties reimburse the state for the primary election, because primaries are a pure party function and all legally recognized groups have a Constitutional right to assemble without outside interference. " - Reform Party Chairman Nicholas Hensley's official statement.

Today the Board of the Federal Reserve voted to keep interest rates steady due to inflation. The largest cause of inflation is the national debt, and the United States Congress's obsession with borrowing and spending.
The best way to reduce inflation is to work towards a balance budget and creating a financial blueprint for the future.

Public service is only effective if it truly supports American interests, both individually and as a nation. Unlimited time in Congress causes stagnation and unhealthy concentrations of power. Term limits are imperative if we are to continue moving forward as a people and as a country.
