Kenny Loggins has shared a heartfelt message for parents of transgender children while discussing his documentary, ‘Kenny Loggins: Conviction of the Heart’.

Speaking with PEOPLE at the ‘Songwriters Hall of Fame Annual Induction Ceremony’, Loggins reflected on his son's transition and offered a piece of advice to other parents: “Mostly just keep loving them and keep trusting them.”

The singer has also spoken about the importance of publicly supporting his son, explaining that sharing their family's story was “an expression of love” and a way to counter the fear and negativity often surrounding transgender people.
