Week 2 was one for the books! Our students settled into their summer routines, built new friendships, and our Reading Buddies officially started reading together! A special thank you to Trinity UMC, Wesley United Methodist Church Wichita Falls, First United Methodist Church of Allen, Cochran Chapel UMC, New Covenant United Methodist Church, and many more! We can't wait to see the growth, confidence, and joy that will come from these special one-on-one reading relationships throughout the summer. 📚 💚

Partnership in action! We’re grateful to Big Brothers Big Sisters for hosting our summer camp in their gym this year as well as Wesley UMC and Trinity UMC for their incredible commitment to the community of Wichita Falls, Texas!

We’re so grateful for the warm welcome at Spring Valley this past Sunday! Our Project Transformation staff and volunteers are already diving into a summer of reading, relationship-building, and joy with students across the Horizon Texas Conference. 📚💛

Last Sunday in worship we officially welcomed our Project Transformation staff to Spring Valley! These young people and volunteers from many Horizon Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church congregations are reading to elementary and middle school kiddos every week through July. We appreciate everyone's dedication and support of this vital ministry! 😀📚

From two weeks of training to our first week of the 2026 Summer Program, we've already soared to incredible heights. Our mentors have poured their hearts into preparing, and now they're building relationships, inspiring young readers, and creating memories that will last far beyond this summer.

Week one is in the books, and we're just getting started. 💚

This summer marks our third year serving Wichita Falls and our first year expanding to two site locations, allowing us to reach even more children with free literacy enrichment, caring mentorship, and meaningful summer experiences.

We're up, up, and away as we welcome children and youth across all 8 of our Summer Program sites. Our mentors are trained, prepared, and beyond excited to kick off a summer filled with literacy, learning, laughter, and lasting relationships.

This week, over 70 young adults are in Dallas preparing to serve children across North Texas in free summer camps filled with literacy, enrichment, and summer fun! Before the first child walks through our doors, these young leaders are building community, growing as mentors, and preparing to create a summer that will make a lasting difference. We cannot wait to see the impact they will have in the weeks ahead. ☀️📚
