DPH State inspection.
On Monday June 15, 2026 we had our annual state EMS inspection done by DPH.
We had 39 vehicles inspected within 3 hours with NO negative findings. The state inspects our Emergency Medical Supplies as well as the truck to make sure all required equipment is accounted for and ready for use if needed. The state was very pleased with their findings and we got a Pass on our inspection.
Thank you to all who assisted and a big shout out to Lt. Wardlaw who headed this project up and did a phenomenal job in getting us prepared and seeing us through the inspection. Great job everyone!

Last week our firefighters and officers were able to take a 4 hour class put on by Southern Company Gas. During this class they learned about natural gas emergencies and the response to them. They discussed recognition, mitigation, containment and evacuation.
Thank you Chuck and Tommy for your time spent with us to expand our knowledge of Natural Gas Emergencies.

Retirement Announcement – Lt. Donnie Hannah
Dallas, Georgia – May 29, 2026
On May 29,2026, the Paulding County Fire Department proudly recognized the retirement of Lt. Donnie Hannah after more than 25 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Paulding County.
Donnie began his service in 1998 as a volunteer firefighter and was hired full-time in April 2001. Throughout his career, he responded to thousands of fire, medical, rescue, and service calls, touching countless lives and helping those in need during some of their most challenging moments.
Lt. Hannah's commitment to service extended far beyond emergency response. He was deployed to South Georgia to assist with major wildland fires, demonstrating his willingness to answer the call wherever help was needed. He was also one of the founding members of the PCFD Honor Guard and remained deeply involved throughout his career, traveling across Georgia to support fellow departments and families during times of loss and remembrance.
In addition, Lt. Hannah served as a valued member of the Hazardous Materials Team. Fittingly, he concluded his career at Station 12, home to the department’s Haz-Mat equipment, continuing to share his knowledge and experience with those around him.
Lt. Hannah leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, compassion, leadership, and service. The impact he has made on this department and the community will be felt for years to come.
On behalf of the Paulding County Fire Department and the thousands of citizens he has served throughout his career, we extend our sincere gratitude and wish Donnie and his family many years of happiness, health, and well-deserved relaxation in retirement.
Thank you for your service, Lt. Hannah. Congratulations on a remarkable career and best wishes in your next chapter!
