We’ve made some progress on the Dryden sub. Many of you should have had your power recently come back on. We are continuing to work on the other multiple outages throughout the territory.

Update: Our Dryden substation is down due to a NYSEG outage. NYSEG is currently working on restoration, and is estimating restoration to be around 2:00PM.

We are aware of an outage in the Masonville/Walton area.

Members, our apologies for the extended outage affecting those served from our Dryden substation. We've had crews working to restore an outage for the past 4.5 hours, and it looks like it could be a few hours more. A member reported a pole on fire, and we had to de-energize a section while we worked to fix the problem. We appreciate your patience as we work to get power restored as quickly and safely as possible.

It's garage sale season, but utility poles are not bulletin boards. While a power pole might seem like a convenient place to post a sign, it is actually critical electrical infrastructure that utility crews rely on to safely maintain and repair the power system. Nails, staples, tacks, and posted signs can create hazards for lineworkers, interfere with maintenance work, and increase the risk of injury when crews climb poles or handle equipment. Help protect utility workers and support safe, reliable service by keeping power poles free of signs, advertisements, staples, nails, and other attachments.
