Myth: If my employer is withholding my child support payments, my tax refund should not be intercepted.

Your tax refund may still be intercepted if there is a child support balance due. This is known as a tax offset. Even if you are currently paying or have an arrears payment plan in place. The tax offset will be applied to the balance due.
