CASA in Colorado

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery. As we reflect on justice, freedom, and resistance, we understand the fight continues for healing, equity, and freedom. Colorado CASA is committed to the fight for children and families across the state, every day.

A huge thank you to for partnering with Colorado CASA for their May service project! Their team assembled 150 toiletry kits for CASA youth across Colorado. We're grateful for Janus Henderson Investors ongiong commitment to CASA throughout the years. Thank you for helping ensure every child has a voice and the opportunity for a brighter future!

It's National Volunteer Week! To honor this, we're highlighting a volunteer with 25 years of impact!

Jane Hegstrom, a dedicated advocate with CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, is celebrating an incredible milestone: 25 years of service supporting children in need.

“I come back for the satisfaction of seeing the tangible difference you can make… I believe everyone is given a gift meant to benefit others.” Jane has truly lived that belief.

And when she saw another need, she created something powerful. In 2013, Jane founded The Hanger—a free clothing boutique and life-skills hub for teens in foster care. What started as one act of kindness has now supported over 3,000 teens, helping them build confidence, independence, and hope.

From advocacy to empowerment, Jane’s legacy continues, often found on the floor at The Hanger, sorting donations and changing lives one teen at a time.
