The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade will be closed Friday, June 19, 2026 in observance of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is a day of celebration, remembrance, and reflection. It reminds us that freedom delayed is freedom denied, and it calls us to honor the generations of Black Coloradans who have enriched our communities, our culture, and our state’s history. I’m proud to join Coloradans across the state to commemorate this important day which is a reminder of why we work hard to deliver a Colorado for all.

Colorado ranked 2nd nationally for the number of zones receiving investment and 8th for total capital raised during the first Opportunity Zone (OZ) program. Now, we’re preparing for OZ 2.0 and we need your help to drive the next wave of economic development. 📈
Opportunity Zones provide powerful federal tax incentives that keep capital flowing into local projects, turning potential into progress. We’re currently gathering feedback to select the most effective tracts for the next phase, and local input is the key to Colorado's success.
The deadline to participate is June 30. Use the map tool to visualize the eligible tracts and submit your feedback today.📣

OEDIT and the Colorado Community College System jointly administer the program, which develops Colorado’s workforce, builds workers’ transferable skills, and improves workers’ resumes and long-term employment opportunities.
Last year, Skill Advance Colorado helped 2,808 Colorado workers develop new skills by assisting their employers with grants to provide training to employees. This is how we help Colorado businesses remain competitive in our 150th anniversary and for many years to come!
