It's Juneteenth and I am working. It is a tremendous privilege for me to be trusted by those who are not white. I do not take this lightly. In grad school, I wrote a paper on the role of race in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, specifically the lack of attention to African American older adults. Facebook is being weird and won't let me upload it...but I still believe we need more advocacy, kindness and understanding for older adults of color.
