POST BILINGÜE ✍️💔🆘️While I like many others get to go to sleep in a safe home, get to eat when we are hungry, get to see and spend time with our children, get to cook meals for our family, get to work to provide for ourselves and family, have the freedom to walk outside and see the sky, trees, birds...others are disappeared...transported to black site facilities, experience mistreatment, torture and abuses, experience medical and educational neglect, get deported to countries they've never been to, cry every day wishing their nightmare would, get put into solitary confinement for extended periods, get injured while in custody or even die in custody....We must be a voice for others and we must protect human lives and dignity. History will remember us as defendors or cowards. https://gofund.me/5599e9f22

💔💔💔💔🆘️

🚨 ALERT! 🚨 We are hosting an Emergency Rally and Press Conference this upcoming Friday, 6/19 at 1pm!

Immigrants detained at the GEO Detention Facility have had enough! Their basic human needs are not being met, and their First Amendment right to speak out against their mistreatment is being stifled and repressed. Join us as we uplift the voices of those who are imprisoned in Aurora, and help share their demands!

We hope that this increased pressure will ensure that the GEO Detention Facility take accountability for their neglect, meet the demands of those detained, and drop their suit and agree to regular inspections by the CDPHE for full transparency.

Regardless, we have our eyes on GEO and are watching this situation very closely. Furthermore, we’re prepared to escalate these demands and will not stop until we free them all!

Emergency call coming to support Laura

06/03/2026

After several days of protests outside ICE's Delaney Hall over inhumane conditions, family visitation was restored at the facility. The unnecessary clashes in NJ last week, though, are the result of an unaccountable ICE. That won't stop Congress from trying to sneak through another $70 billion for immigration enforcement with zero accountability. Call your member of Congress and tell them not a penny more for ICE without guardrails.

Call to Action: Join us this Wednesday, June 3rd, for our weekly vigil at the Aurora ICE Processing Center (3130 Oakland St, Aurora, CO). In a spirit of solidarity, we recognize that conditions in all detention centers are no different from what is happening in Delaney Hall New Jersey—and the very same situation is unfolding right here in Aurora. Come demand accountability, speak out against injustices, and take meaningful action to ensure that detainees are treated as human beings and that their dignity is respected. We look forward to seeing you at 6:00 PM. Don't miss it—come and take action! I can’t stop thinking about what is happening inside Delaney Hall, Torrance County Detention Facility, and detention centers across this country.

Right now, detained immigrants and advocates say hundreds of people are participating in hunger strikes, a desperate act to call attention to the conditions they are facing, their treatment, and what they describe as a lack of dignity and care inside detention.

People do not stop eating because things are okay. People stop eating when they feel unheard. When they feel trapped. When they feel like their humanity is being ignored.

Advocates and families have raised concerns about medical care, treatment, and detention conditions, with growing fears about what could happen as some people spend days on hunger strike, including reports of possible force-feeding interventions.

And in the middle of all of this, I keep thinking about Nayeli, a 10-year-old girl who spent her birthday outside Delaney Hall calling for her father’s freedom while he remains detained inside.

No child should have to carry the weight of separation, fear, or fight for the dignity of the people they love.

Behind every headline, statistic, and political talking point, there are human beings. There are families. There are children like Nayeli.
For Nayeli, for the families outside, and for the people inside risking everything to be heard: call your Member of Congress and demand oversight now.
