An Air Quality Health Advisory is in effect for Mesa County.

An event known as a stratospheric intrusion is occurring. Ozone is expected to be in the Moderate to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups Range in Mesa County through Thursday evening.

High ozone will continue through Friday evening, but breezy weather on Saturday will limit ozone development.

Ozone was enhanced on Thursday by influence from the upper atmosphere, however high levels of ozone in the Front Range remain possible on Thursday and again on Friday.
