You've probably noticed that some days the air quality is so poor you can't see the beloved Flatirons and Rockies. Luckily, there are simple steps we can all take to help improve our air quality.
One of the easiest ways is filling up your car after 5 p.m.! By refueling after the sun goes down, fuel vapors do not have as much of a chance to "cook" in the midday sun and become harmful ground-level ozone.

Broomfield’s trail systems and open spaces are designed and maintained as special resources for wildlife and as places of fresh air for our active community. To preserve this resource and practice fire safety of these areas, smoking and va**ng are strictly prohibited in Broomfield open space and parks.
Dry conditions and warm temperatures can dry out vegetation and increase fire risk, especially if discarded smoldering smoking materials come into contact with vegetation.

Since most human-caused wildfires start within a few hundred feet of a roadway, CDOT and state partners have launched the Drive Safe Colorado Summer campaign. 🚗☑️ Download your summer safety checklist: https://www.codot.gov/travel/summerdriving
