Our food pantry is running low on choices for residents, and we need your help! By donating grocery staples, you can help ensure our residents have access to the food they need each week. Donations can be dropped off on campus and make an immediate impact on the 140 individuals who call YSHC home.

We want to give a huge to our friends at for supporting our food recovery program! Thanks to their partnership, we’re able to provide residents with an additional meal each week using food that might otherwise go to waste. Their generosity helps reduce food waste while creating more opportunities for residents to access nutritious meals. We are so grateful for their impact on our campus!

We were grateful to welcome Zeb from Bridlewood Midwest Insurance to campus today to share information and chat about Medicaid with our 140 residents! Access to healthcare information can be a hueg barrier for individuals experiencing housing insecurity. Thank you, Zeb, for investing in our residents where they are at and helping make healthcare information more accessible to all!!

When our residents finally have a place to call home, access to nutritious food becomes one of the next most important pieces of stability. That’s why partnerships like the one we have with F&G mean so much to our YSHC community. This week alone they donated more than 100 pounds of food to the YSHC, creating multiple meal opportunities for residents throughout the week. These donations help ensure that our 140 neighbors have access to good food while reducing waste and strengthening our community!

We had a wonderful this week thanks to Liza and her friends and family! Residents enjoyed a delicious meal of rigatoni with red sauce, Caesar salad, fresh fruit, garlic toast and a root beer float for dessert. Tuesday Night Dinners are an opportunity for our neighbors to gather, connect and build community!

The Food Bank of Iowa stopped by this week with a pantry refill! Once a month we are able to stock our pantry with dignified items our 140 residents rely on. Help us give a huge to the for helping us fight food insecurity within our community!

A great Sunday morning at the YSHC! Over the weekend, residents gathered for a special , enjoying a homemade meal and time together as a community. Moments like these create opportunities for neighbors to connect, share stories, and start the week on a positive note!
