Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, culture, and community.
As we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, we recognize the ongoing work of building communities where all people can live healthy lives and be free to thrive.
In observance of Juneteenth, the Polk County Health Department will be closed on Friday, June 19. We will reopen Monday with our normal hours.

Access to testing is an important part of community health. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect people with care, answer questions, and help make health services more accessible for everyone.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
