A special day for the Doral Police Department and the City of Doral.

Today, surrounded by Mayor Christi Fraga, members of the City Council, City leadership, family, friends, and hundreds of law enforcement professionals from across South Florida and beyond, Chief Mathew Castillo and Deputy Chief Jonathan Dweck were officially sworn in to lead the Doral Police Department into its next chapter.

This ceremony was a celebration of service, dedication, and a shared commitment to protecting and serving our community with integrity, professionalism, and excellence.

As Chief Castillo and Deputy Chief Dweck take the oath to lead one of South Florida’s premier law enforcement agencies, they do so supported by the men and women of the Doral Police Department and a community that believes in their vision, character, and leadership.

We congratulate Chief Castillo and Deputy Chief Dweck on this remarkable achievement and look forward to the future of the Doral Police Department under their leadership.

The future is bright, and the mission remains clear: serving our community, building trust, and keeping Doral one of the safest cities in Florida. 💙🚔

👋 Meet Tania Martinez, Training Coordinator for the Doral Police Department and one of the first civilian hires in the department’s history. Since joining Team Doral in 2007, Tania has played an essential role in supporting the department and helping ensure officers remain trained, certified, and prepared to serve our community.

Through her work, Tania oversees officer certifications, training requirements, and compliance with standards established by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence help ensure the department maintains the highest level of professionalism and readiness.

For Tania, a career in law enforcement has provided the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the community she proudly calls home. She believes every role within the department plays an important part in supporting public safety and serving residents.

Tania also wants residents to know that the people behind the badge are dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the community. As both a City employee and resident, she sees firsthand the commitment, courage, and dedication officers demonstrate every day while serving Doral.

The City of Doral is seeking submissions for 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥: 𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, a showcase celebrating the creativity, talent, and unique perspectives of our community.

We invite Doral residents to submit original works in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and textile art. Selected works will be featured in an exhibition highlighting the artistic spirit that makes our city so vibrant.
