Forecasts continue to predict a great deal of rain moving into the area during the coming days. Please be aware that possible flooding could occur throughout the weekend and beyond. Please stay tuned to local weather forecasts and be alert about changing weather conditions.
The City of Dothan wants to provide citizens with phone numbers they can call if assistance is needed -
• If you have a true emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
• If you experience a power outage, please contact Dothan Utilities at 334-615-3302.
• Street flooding or other flooding concerns, please call 334-793-0215.

The Troy Street resurfacing project, between N. Oates Street and N. Saint Andrew’s Street, has been delayed until Monday, June 22nd, due to weather.
On Monday, June 22nd, N. Foster Street will be closed between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM to allow resurfacing operations at the intersection of Troy Street. This portion of N. Troy Street will remain closed until construction is complete.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the public’s patience.
Due to weather delays, the resurfacing of Troy Street, between Oates Street and S. Saint Andrews Street, has been rescheduled to Thursday, June 18th , weather depending.
This section of Troy Street will remain closed until construction is complete. During the resurfacing operation there will be brief delays to traffic along N. Foster Street. Additionally, N. Foster Street will be closed between Main Street and Troy Street from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM, on June 18th , to complete resurfacing in the intersection of Troy Street and N. Foster Street.
We appreciate the public’s patience while this project is being completed.

Copies of the draft PY 2026 CDBG Annual Action Plan will be available for public review from July 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026, at the following locations in Dothan:
1. Dothan-Houston Co. Library System, Downtown Branch, 445 N. Oates St.
2. Planning & Development Dept., 126 N. St. Andrews St.
3. Dothan Housing Authority, 1001 Montana Street
4. City website (Documents for Public Review): www.dothan.org
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Dothan City Commission meeting to receive public comments on the draft PY 2026 CDBG Annual Action Plan.
The Annual Action Plan is a summary of the actions, activities, and specific resources to address the priority needs and specific goals identified for the City of Dothan’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
Submit written comments to the City of Dothan, Planning and Development, 126 N. St. Andrews St., Dothan, AL 36302 or by e-mail to [email protected] before the close of business on Friday, July 31, 2026.

This new park gives dogs a dedicated space to exercise, play, and socialize, and it was made possible through a partnership between the City of Dothan Government and the Alabama Forever Wild Land Trust.

Info for tonight!
Please be advised that if you are attending Dancing for the Arts tonight at the Dothan Civic Center, you will need to access the Civic Center parking lot via Museum Avenue.
If the Civic Center parking lot reaches capacity, overflow parking will be available on Cherry Street.
Please note that St. Andrews Street, from Main Street to Troy Street, will be closed from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM for Movies in the Park at Porter Park Events Plaza.
We encourage guests to arrive early and allow extra time for parking and traffic adjustments.
