When our schools, local employers, and communities partner together, great things are bound to happen! Not only are we able to work together to build a stronger local workforce, but students are also able to bridge the skills gap, developing the confidence and work habits necessary to transition from the classroom to meaningful, career-oriented employment.
Through our Co-Op program, currently lead by Mrs. Dana Bell, Houston County Schools students have worked over 126,000 hours and had an economic impact of nearly 15 million dollars this past school year alone. Thatβs almost an 8,000,000 dollar increase from just last year! We are so proud of our students, Mrs. Bellβs leadership, the awesome opportunities provided through co-op, and all of our amazing local employers who help make all of this possible!
