Tomorrow, we will have the privilege of celebrating an extraordinary young leader.
Please join us in congratulating Saul Nunez, who will be receiving a City Proclamation in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and service to our community as a Student-Led Instructor with Reconnecting with the Disconnected.
Saul's journey has not always been easy, but through determination, accountability, and a commitment to personal growth, he has transformed challenges into opportunities to lead and inspire others. Over the past year, he has dedicated countless hours mentoring youth, assisting with community service projects, supporting educational programming, and serving as a positive role model for young people throughout El Paso.
What makes this recognition so special is that it represents more than volunteer hours—it represents resilience, leadership, and the belief that every young person has the ability to create positive change in their community.
We are incredibly proud of Saul and grateful for the example he sets for the youth we serve every day. His story reminds us that leadership is not about where you start, but about the choices you make and the impact you leave on others.
From participant to instructor to community leader—this is what investing in our youth looks like.
Congratulations, Saul! Your Reconnecting with the Disconnected family celebrates this well-deserved honor and looks forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the future.

Through this project, youth will gain valuable experience in civic engagement, teamwork, and community stewardship while making a lasting difference in others' lives.

Dear Basecamp Fitness El Paso – Cimarron Team,
On behalf of everyone at Recker’s Outreach and Reconnecting with the Disconnected, we want to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for selecting our organization as the beneficiary of your Memorial Day Murph event.
Memorial Day is a time to honor sacrifice, service, and the strength of those who have given so much for our country. To have our mission recognized during such a meaningful event is truly humbling. Your willingness to use your platform, your community, and your hearts to support local veterans means more than words can fully express.
The funds raised, the awareness created, and the support shown through this event directly impact the veterans and families we serve here in our community. Beyond the donation itself, your partnership sends a powerful message to our veterans — that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
We are incredibly grateful for the energy, compassion, and community spirit your team continues to demonstrate. Events like this remind us that real change happens when organizations come together with a shared purpose of service and hope.
Thank you for choosing to stand beside us this Memorial Day. We are honored to be part of this special event and look forward to continuing to build a stronger community together.
With sincere appreciation,
Samantha Recker
