The first Safety Town session of 2026 is in the books! Children learned valuable lessons on stranger danger, drug awareness, bicycle safety, fire safety, and many more topics. Thanks to the support of our EPPD officers, community partners and local leaders for making this a memorable experience for the students!
We look forward to welcoming the next group of young learners as Safety Town continues throughout the summer.

The El Paso Police Department hosted the 2nd annual Multi-Agency Cadet-Explorer summer camp, bringing together cadets and explorers from EPPD, El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and Horizon Police Department.
Throughout the camp, participants received hands-on training and mentorship from EPPD SWAT officers, the motors/traffic unit, detectives, community services officers, recruiting and academy staff.
Cadets also had an opportunity to physically train with officers, getting firsthand experience of the discipline and dedication required.
We are proud to invest in the next generation of public safety leaders and grateful to our partner agencies for making this camp a success!
