Elder Abuse Awareness Month & Purple Sunday Day of Prayer💜🙏🏻

Yesterday, Grace Ortiz was honored to speak to the congregation at New City Fellowship Church about Elder Abuse Awareness Month and Purple Sunday Day of Prayer. Grace shared information on the importance of recognizing and preventing elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

As part of the service, Pastor Jeff White led a special prayer for elderly individuals who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. The gathering also provided an opportunity for reflection, education, and discussion on how we, as a community, can better protect and support vulnerable older adults.

Today, this important effort continues with the presentation of a resolution before the County Commissioners Court in recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Month and the ongoing commitment to safeguarding the elderly members of our community.📜

Last week, the APS team came together for their monthly meeting to celebrate achievements and continue building their expertise. Employees and units were recognized for meeting key performance metrics, effectively using AlertMedia to enhance safety for both staff and clients, and completing the Mentor Program. 🎉
