EPCSOA had the honor of hosting a cookout for Basic Detention Officer Class 26‑02 proudly known as Legacy carrying the class motto “Built on Discipline.”

We want to officially welcome these new officers to the Sheriff’s Office and wish them all the best as they begin their careers. This profession demands commitment, resilience, and integrity, and we’re confident this class will carry those values forward.

Mechanic Appreciation Day

June 12 was National Automotive Service Professionals Day, and the EPCSOA wants to shine some well‑deserved appreciation on the incredible mechanics who keep our fleet running.

Our mechanics work extremely hard, often without recognition, so here are a few things everyone should know:

— They have 467 units in their fleet and only SEVEN mechanics maintaining them.
— The work never stops. Many days they’re working on two vehicles at once just to keep up.
— There is NO A/C in the garage. While most of us work in climate‑controlled spaces, they’re out there in the heat, working on hot engines, wearing long sleeves to avoid burns and they never complain.
— They handle all county vehicles, plus all inspections, and they do it with professionalism and pride.

EPCSOA is extremely thankful for their dedication, their work ethic, and the essential role they play in keeping our operations moving safely and efficiently.

To our mechanics — thank you for everything you do. You are truly appreciated. Enjoy your gift cards and breakfast burritos. 💛🔧🚓

Thank you to Judge Najera for inviting us to participate in the Bike Rodeo at the Neighborhood Walmart. Our team was happy to donate two bikes and several gift cards for the raffles to help make the day even more special for the kids and families who attended.
