Help us in thanking Don for his 11.5 years of service to the Mission!
We are so grateful for his commitment to the Mission as our food service driver for the last 11.5 years. In his farewell speech, he made it clear to us that God placed him here to work on himself and be with like-minded people in recovery.
“I needed God and I needed Jesus… throughout my time here I was able to work on myself.”
We are honored to be a place of healing and self-reflection for Don and hope that with this new season of life comes even more peace.
Don, you will be dearly missed.💙

Your Generosity Made a Difference—the Need Continues.
A month ago, we put out an urgent call, and your response was overwhelming—thank you! Every single donation was put to use quickly across our many programs, and we are so grateful. But as summer continues, so does the need, and our shelves are running low again.
If you are able to or feel called to, we ask that you help us meet our urgent needs by donating any of the following items:
-Plastic grocery bags
-Men’s underwear (boxer/briefs)
-Men’s & women’s shirts (all sizes)
-Men’s socks (tube/ankle)
-Toothpaste
-Mouthwash
-Shampoo
-Conditioner
-Bar soap
-Deodorant
-Lotion
-Plastic utensils
-Styrofoam cups
These donations go directly to supporting those in our community who need it most. Our outreach team carries these items during their work in the streets, and they are also distributed at our lunch service, shelter, and to any individual who walks through our front door in need.
Items can be dropped off or ordered online and shipped directly to us at 1017 French St, Erie, PA 16501. We are open Monday through Friday, 8AM–4PM.
Thank you for continuing to show up for our community. ❤️

It’s true when we say the Mission wouldn’t be able to function as an organization without our volunteers. They show up ready to work each and every day and today was no different. 🙌
We had two corporate volunteer groups today—one being a long-standing partner, Erie Insurance, who lent a helping hand at our Erie City Mission Thrift Store, and another being a first-time volunteer group, Reidman Apartment Living, who joined our kitchen staff in preparing and serving food to our public guests. A huge welcome to them and we pray it’s not the last time we’re blessed with their presence!
Whether it’s your first time volunteering at the Mission or you’re a regular—every moment counts, every hand matters, and every act of service leaves a lasting mark on the lives of those we serve. 💙

On Thursday, June 11, 2026 our New life program participants attended a beautiful picnic hosted by the Community Christian Church. ☀️
The men and women enjoyed homemade food, games, sermons, and much more in the company of each other, staff, and church members.
This has been a tradition put on by the church for over 15 years—join us in celebrating the commitment and love shared through this gathering.💙
