It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from across the LECOM family come together for a day filled with inspiration, connection, and fun. This year's theme, Teamwork, reminded us that our greatest achievements happen when we work together, support one another, and share a common purpose.

We were honored to hear from an outstanding lineup of guest speakers, including high-wire legend Nik Wallenda, PGA Tour champion Adam Long, and NCAA National Championship-winning coach Easton Bazzoli. Each speaker shared unique perspectives on leadership, resilience, trust, and the power of teamwork, leaving attendees inspired both professionally and personally.

The excitement continued with our Passport to Wellness experience, where participants embarked on an interactive wellness adventure throughout the event. Guests explored wellness-focused activities, connected with exhibitors, learned valuable health and lifestyle tips, and had the opportunity to collect stamps along the way. The journey was filled with energy, engagement, and plenty of excitement as attendees competed for and won a variety of fantastic prizes.

Today brought another full day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful discussions focused on advancing the future of long-term care. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from industry leaders, explore innovative approaches to care, and gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping healthcare today.

As National Nursing Assistants' Week begins, we extend our sincere gratitude to all CNAs for the extraordinary care they provide and the meaningful connections they create.

LECOM Health today held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its third Colonial Family Pharmacy. This pharmacy, located at 210 E. State St., Suite 2, in Albion., is strategically placed next to our primary care clinic, Northwestern Area Health Center, reducing barriers, shortening the path from diagnosis to treatment, and strengthening continuity of care. That practical convenience translates directly into healthier lives.
When Albion lost its pharmacy in January 2024, the community lost a vital healthcare anchor. For many residents, it created what’s often called a “pharmacy desert,” where access to essential medications and pharmacist support becomes limited or even burdensome.
Whether it’s answering questions, supporting chronic care, or simply providing a friendly face, this pharmacy will play a vital role in the daily lives of so many people in Albion and western Erie County.
A new pharmacy brings vitality, renewed energy and shows confidence in our community and contributes to its growth and resilience.
