Exciting News from the Historical Society!
We are thrilled to announce the installation of a new historic marker sign, graciously donated by Lakeshore Industries, commemorating the beloved 4 Mile Creek Amusement Park!
Once a vibrant destination for families and friends, the amusement park was located where the Lawrence Park Golf Course now thrives. This marker serves as a reminder of the joy and memories created in our community's past.
Join us in celebrating this piece of history and the contributions of Lakeshore Industries to preserving our heritage.

Celebrate with us โ Marge McLean turns 100! ๐
Born in 1926, the same year Lawrence Park began, Marge has been a pillar of our town for decades. She served on the Iroquois School District faculty, volunteered with the Iroquois School District Foundation, loves hitting the golf course, and continues to volunteer her time at the Lawrence Park Historical Society.
Sheโs watched our community grow and helped make it what it is today.
Thank you, Marge, for your years of dedication and love.
