We’re so excited for the warm, sunny months ahead! ☀️ As you and your family spend more time outdoors, it’s important to remember sun safety and protect little ones from too much sun exposure.

Here are a few helpful tips to keep your family safe this summer:

🌴 Babies 6 months and under should stay in shaded areas and wear lightweight, sun-protective clothing instead of sunscreen when possible
👒 Use sun-protection accessories like hats and sunglasses
🧴 Choose baby-safe sunscreens with mineral filters to help prevent skin irritation
🏖️ Don’t forget to reapply sunscreen often, especially after swimming or sweating

Taking breaks in the shade and staying hydrated can also help everyone enjoy the summer safely!

After a storm, take a few minutes to empty, scrub, cover, or toss anything holding water around your home.

and help protect your family from mosquito-borne diseases like West Nile virus.
