Every house tells a story. These miniature domiciles, handmade in the 1930s by American artists under President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Works Progress Administration (WPA) Museum Extension Project (MEP), were originally created as visual aids for schoolchildren. Each object represents its own special people, culture, and history.
Visit the 'All The Pretty Houses' exhibit until August 18th at Main Library in the 2nd floor gallery and The Bienes Museum on the 6th floor.

There are sixteen new bestsellers, seventeen new audiobooks, 47 new children's books, and 178 other new books, including 90 that are available online.
The new bestsellers this week include "Rocket's Red Glare," "Villa Coco," and "Dog Man 14: Big Jim Believes."

We spent the day exploring democracy with Ted Democracy Live at Main Library today. The 'Founding Futures' livestream event brought together libraries around the country for a series of presentations, breakaway discussions, and a delicious lunch! We had an incredible kick off to the 2026 Panthers Summer Reading Tour at Northwest Regional Library! Attendees enjoyed story times, STEAM activities, cool giveaways, and of course photos with Stanley! We still have four more stops on the tour, and while you’re there you can sign up for our Summer Reading Program and earn cool prizes.
