The Annual Summer Justice Internship Program is officially underway!
What better way to kick off this year’s program than with a full-circle moment?
Last summer, Aiden joined the Summer Justice Internship Program as a student eager to learn more about the legal system. Inspired by what he learned, he took action—creating an initiative designed to help students better understand the laws that directly impact their everyday lives.
This year, Aiden returned to share that vision, sitting down with Public Defender Gordon Weekes to present his initiative and personally thank the Broward Public Defender’s Office for its ongoing support and mentorship.
Aiden’s journey is a powerful reminder that young people don’t have to wait to make a difference. We hope his story inspires this year’s interns to use their voices, pursue their passions, and begin creating change in their communities today.
