Today’s Broward County OESBD’s Broward & Beyond Business Conference was designed to help entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses. There were resources and pro tips galore starting with The Transit, Trade & Take-Off panel moderated by Maribel Feliciano and featuring our CEO and Port Director Joseph Morris. Among the advice shared about contracting opportunities at the port, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Broward County Transit, were these nuggets:
- Be familiar with the enterprise agencies’ master plans to get ahead of your competition
- Make sure your documents are in order
- Clearly demonstrate your role as a sub contractor
- Know who else is providing services at the agency
- Tap into the resources Broward OESBD offers
This panel was followed by a discussion on the advantages of Broward County’s Foreign-Trade Zone 25 with FTZ25 Manager Krystal Permanan MPA, AZS and Paola Iuspa-Abbott.
