FWISD’s spring STAAR test scores show gains in elementary, middle school grades Fort Worth ISD saw gains across reading and math in most grade levels in its grade 3-8 STAAR exam scores.

Boil Water Notice Issued for Portions of Near Northside and Lake Worth Areas

Due to a 24-inch cast iron main break, customers in the affected area must boil water before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice or other consumption uses. Bring water to a vigorous rolling boil for two minutes, then cool before use.

To help residents stay cool and manage their electricity use during the summer, the City of Fort Worth's Community Action Partners, in partnership with Reliant Energy, has announced the statewide Beat the Heat Program for 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

If eligible, applicants may receive a cooling unit to cool their home. Priority is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with top priority given to vulnerable populations such as seniors, individuals with disabilities and families with young children.
