Thank you to Commissioner Alisa Simmons for continuing to advocate for organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of Tarrant County residents. The work of the Help Center for LGBTQ Health and so many other community organizations helps ensure our neighbors have access to critical resources, support, and care.
Regardless of where you stand politically, local government decisions impact our daily lives. That's why itβs so important to stay informed, attend public meetings, volunteer, advocate for causes you care about, and make your voice heard.
Civic engagement doesnβt start on Election Day, it starts with showing up, listening, learning, and participating in our community year-round.
To our Stonewall Democrats members and supporters: thank you for being engaged, informed, and committed to building a more inclusive Tarrant County for everyone. π³οΈβπ

Today, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court let hate overshadow the truth, and killed my resolution recognizing three decades of service by the HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health.
Let me be clear about what happened.
For more than 30 years, the Help Center has helped thousands of Tarrant County residents access health insurance, HIV prevention services, counseling, and critical health care resources. Last year, the Help Center delivered $70 MILLION in medication to prevent HIV without spending one cent of your taxpayer dollars. They are to be commended, not vilified.
I brought this resolution forward because health care is a HUMAN issue, not a partisan one.
It was about recognizing service, honoring results, and acknowledging an organization that has made all of our residents safer.
But Tim OβHare and my Republican colleagues chose to make health care political.
We've seen this pattern before under Tim O'Hare's leadership: erase people, ignore their contributions, and pretend entire communities do not exist. They spread misinformation, dragged children into the conversation, and distorted the work of an organization that does not serve minors.
To the staff, volunteers, health care professionals, and advocates at the Help Center: I see you. Your work is not erased by this vote, and neither are the families whose lives you have changed.
Tarrant County deserves leaders who recognize service, respect results, and refuse to erase people for political convenience. That's the kind of leadership I will bring as your next County Judge.

β€οΈ Community health matters. Community dignity matters. Community support matters.
On June 9, the Tarrant County Commissioners Court will consider a resolution recognizing the incredible work of the HELP Center for LGBTQ+ Health.
For more than 30 years, the HELP Center has provided education, prevention, healthcare access, counseling, and support services to thousands of North Texans. Their work has touched countless lives and strengthened our community through compassionate care and service.
If you believe organizations that improve health outcomes, support underserved populations, and provide life-saving resources deserve recognition, now is the time to make your voice heard.
π’ Submit a written comment or sign up to speak before the June 9 Commissioners Court meeting.
Together, we can show support for an organization that has made a meaningful difference in Tarrant County.

π Happy Pride Month! π
As we begin Pride Month, we celebrate the progress that has been made, honor those who paved the way, and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.
Pride is about visibility, authenticity, courage, and community. It is a reminder that every person deserves to live openly, safely, and with dignity, regardless of who they are or whom they love.
At Stonewall Democrats Tarrant County, we believe that equality is not a privilege for some, but a right for all. This month, we celebrate the diversity that strengthens our community and stand together in support of a future where everyone is welcomed, valued, and respected.
To our LGBTQ+ family, allies, advocates, and supporters: thank you for helping build a more inclusive and compassionate world.
Join us at our next meeting on June 8 and celebrate with us!
Happy Pride Month. π³οΈβπβ€οΈπ§‘ππππ
