We have more air cooling units available for low-income Fort Worth residents thanks to Reliant Energy. Eligible Fort Worth residents can request a cooling device to help beat the heat at home, while supplies last. Priority is provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with top priority given to vulnerable populations such as seniors, individuals with disabilities and families with children ages 5 and under. The City of Fort Worth invites all interested residents and organizations to provide feedback on the upcoming 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan. This plan outlines how our city will utilize federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to support critical community needs. We are currently accepting public comments and hosting public hearings regarding the following programs:

• CDBG: Community Development Block Grant Program
• HOME: HOME Investment Partnerships Program
• ESG: Emergency Solutions Grant Program
• HOPWA: Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program

Attend a Public Hearing:
The purpose of these hearings will be to receive public comments on the proposed funding and on the Action Plan.

The plan is scheduled to be adopted by City Council on Aug. 11, and submitted to HUD on or around Aug. 15.

Unstoppable Lake Como – 🏆 Three-Peat Triumph: Lake Como Crowned National 'Neighborhood of the Year

The Lake Como Neighborhood Advisory Council and community partners were recognized by the Fort Worth City Council on June 9 for earning the national Neighborhood of the Year title from Neighborhoods USA (NUSA), marking Lake Como's third consecutive national title.

District 6 Councilmember Dr. Mia Hall welcomed neighborhood leaders during the council meeting and praised Lake Como's continued commitment to service and community building.

“Lake Como is a model neighborhood demonstrating what can be accomplished when residents come together in the name of service and in the name of community,” Hall said.

As you may have heard, the anticipated iOS 27 was officially announced and is expected to be released later this year. However, today, you can download the latest version of the City of Fort Worth's 𝗠𝘆𝗙𝗪 𝗔𝗽𝗽, which has recently undergone a significant upgrade to its seventh iteration.

This new version boasts a revamped design and enhanced features that simplify the reporting process. Key additions include:

- A simplified reporting format for easier issue reporting.
- Filters to help users find specific information quickly.
- Up-to-date news to keep residents informed.
- Contact information for accessing assistance.
- A new search function for efficient navigation.
