In partnership with SCE and PG&E remind you that the electrical system around your pool or hot tub can be a hidden hazard. Wet skin close to electricity increase the risk of electrocution, especially with underwater lights, pumps and outlets.
To keep everyone safe and prevent electric shock drowning, we strongly recommend having your electrical system inspected, repaired and upgraded by a licensed contractor to meet local and National Electrical Code standards.
Additionally, always avoid setting up pools near overhead power lines—keep at least 25 feet of distance for safety.
------
