Advisement from the Fresno Police Department

Beginning June 11, 2026, the Fresno Police Department will be conducting a summer crime suppression operation intended to prevent violent crime, reduce dangerous traffic‑related offenses, and ensure that children and teens throughout Fresno get to enjoy a safe summer.

During this operation, officers will be enforcing curfew to help prevent children and teens from becoming victims of crime, and from potentially making bad decisions that could negatively impact them for years to come. If officers encounter your child out in violation of the curfew ordinance (Fresno Municipal Code 9-2508), expect to be contacted by the Fresno Police Department. The City of Fresno’s juvenile curfew ordinance is in effect each night from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. This ordinance is an important tool to help keep minors safe during late‑night hours and helps prevent children and teens from finding themselves in unsafe situations. The details and exceptions to the curfew ordinance may be found at https://library.municode.com/ca/fresno/codes/code_of_ordinances
We encourage parents and guardians to speak with their children about the curfew and the importance of making safe choices throughout the summer months. Your partnership is essential in helping us protect the wellbeing of all Fresno youth. Additional programs and activities offered to children and teens, for the summer break and throughout the year, can be located through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County website at https://www.bgcfresno.org/

If you have any questions about this operation or need additional information, please contact the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-5053.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping our community safe.
