On this date in 1775, our nation called upon the bravest of the brave to band together and fight for a common cause: freedom. One day later, Congress appointed George Washington as the Commander-in-Chief of these brave heroes. Today, we know this courageous group by the name of the US Army. Each year, we pause to remember this day in history.

To all who wear the uniform and to all who have worn the uniform, we are so grateful for your service, sacrifice, and courage. Thank you!

Today we celebrate Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the United States flag in 1777.

Join us in recognizing this important symbol of our nation's heritage and the many stories it represents.

On this day, we pause to remember D-Day. We pause to remember the heroism and bravery of a rare group of men and women who stepped in when needed to bring peace to the world. Let us remember this day.
