Today, Fresno Housing joined community leaders and partners to celebrate the launch of a major broadband infrastructure project at Sequoia Courts and Sequoia Courts Terrace, bringing free high-speed internet access to more than 350 residents.

This investment connects families to education, telehealth, workforce development, job opportunities, and critical community resources—all while saving residents up to $80 per month that can be redirected toward groceries, gas, transportation, utilities, and other household essentials.

Thank you to the leaders and partners who helped make this vision a reality:

• Fresno City Councilmember Miguel Arias
• Tyrone Roderick Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Fresno Housing
• Kevin Miller, Board President, Fresno Coalition for Digital Inclusion (FCDI)
• Stephanie Nathan, President & CEO, United Way Fresno & Madera Counties
• Artie Padilla, Director, Fresno DRIVE Initiative, Central Valley Community Foundation

A special thank you to Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula for his continued support of broadband access and digital inclusion efforts throughout our community.

Together, we're helping close the digital divide and creating new opportunities for Fresno Housing residents.

Fresno Housing CEO Tyrone Roderick Williams recently joined Mayor Jerry Dyer and Senator Adam Schiff to discuss housing and the importance of continued partnership in addressing the needs of communities throughout Fresno and the Central Valley.

The Senator’s office was instrumental in facilitating a $1 million federal appropriation for Fresno Housing’s The Roos, an affordable housing project in downtown Fresno.

Bringing together different perspectives helps foster meaningful dialogue around housing opportunities, community development, and the future of our region.

Fresno Housing celebrated 19 participants who graduated from the Sherwin-Williams Paint Training Program at Legacy Commons.

Delivered in partnership with and Sherwin-Williams, this one-week program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to build practical, job-ready skills. Participants gained experience in surface preparation, painting techniques, and unit cleanup, and received a certificate of completion to support their readiness for work in the field.

This program is part of Fresno Housing’s broader commitment to connecting residents with workforce development opportunities that support long-term stability and economic mobility.

Thank you to Wayne Seymour with Sherwin-Williams for leading the training and for your continued partnership. We also appreciate the support of Access Plus Capital, PeopleReady Skilled Trades, and Workforce Connection for joining us in recognizing our graduates.

Congratulations to all who completed the program.
