Through music, dance, poetry, and community, we reflected on and honored the resilience and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom, and recommitted ourselves to building a more just future for generations to come.

For 251 years, Army soldiers have defended the freedoms and liberties we hold dear.

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those serving today and the veterans who came before them. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, I met with members of the International Fresh Produce Association to discuss the importance of the Farm Bill, workforce challenges, and increasing fresh produce consumption.

It was great to have a productive conversation with local CA-21 leaders Rachel Bigby of Frutura and Malie Frelinger of Fowler Packing to hear firsthand about the opportunities and challenges facing our fresh produce industry.

Sixty-three years ago today, the Equal Pay Act was signed into law, marking a major step forward in the fight for fairness in the workplace. This landmark legislation made it illegal for employers to pay men and women different wages for equal work requiring equal skill, effort, and responsibility, performed under similar working conditions.

As we mark this anniversary, we recognize the progress that has been made and reaffirm our commitment to closing the wage gap and advancing economic equality for all.
